21 Day Customized Vegan Kickstart

Research has shown that to change a deeply engrained habit, we need at least 3 solid weeks of daily effort. The 21-Day Vegan Kickstart is a plan originally created by Dr. Neal Barnard, who is one of the country's leading experts on plant-based and nutritionally dense dietary regimes.

My personal program also includes a vegan coaching/cooking lessons aspect and a customized organizational planner to assist you. Identifying and supporting the specific, unique goals and motivations that you have will help you benefit the most from this exciting three weeks.

Why is customizing important?

  • Do you want to kickstart to learn about new health-supporting foods and incorporate cleaner eating for your family?
  • Or is this to "detox" and lose some weight?
  • Perhaps you wish to adopt greener living habits with a lessened carbon footprint, while still being able to enjoy your favorite recipes?

These are differing goals, and thus an individualized kickstart will address them. This customization also applies to lifestyle: a stay-at-home parent who has gained some weight recently and who has small children, for example, is going to struggle with different concerns than an executive empty-nester who travels for their career and who recently suffered a cardiac crisis.

What do I get with a kickstart?

The kickstart plan involves three components:

  • 4 sessions of vegan coaching (you can also add on sessions "a la carte"). Two of these sessions can be "swapped out" for a 2 hour cooking session together at your home.
  • 3 weeks of meal plans that we arrange together. These are tailored to your current lifestyle and focused on easy-to-prepare and healthful vegan recipes which stress whole foods that will incorporate foodstuffs that you already enjoy, and introduce you to new ones.
  • a customized personal journal and organizational system to keep track of the challenges and triumphs that you will experience on this journey

Can I kickstart with a buddy?

Absolutely and thanks for asking! If you would like to kickstart in a team format, especially as a couple, your custom kickstart can include this. The coaching can be adjusted for longer team sessions (1 and 1/2 hours), and a melded list of  recipes and ingredients can be adjusted for. It is even possible to add a kitchen restart where I can come and help you declutter and refocus your refrigerator and cupboards.
